Request for proposals: TRE Accreditation Assessor

Our Future Health is looking to commission an organisation who can manage and assess applications to Our Future Health’s bespoke trusted research environment (TRE) accreditation process.

As explained in our recent article, organisations may apply to host Our Future Health data to conduct health research. As part of the application, the trusted research environment (secure computer system where the data will be stored and made available to researchers) must be accredited through a bespoke process we are developing, which checks technical, security, operational and administrative controls.

The request for proposals invites bids for the TRE accreditation assessor, who will be responsible for:  

  • Reviewing and assessing accreditation applications 
  • Granting or refusing accreditation  
  • Post-accreditation, reviewing and assessing changes to the accredited systems and processes 

Timelines 

The request for proposals was opened on 28 July 2022 and will close on 25 August 2022.
