Everyone Active hosts Our Future Health clinics to raise the bar for health research
Everyone Active, one of the UK’s leading operators of gyms and leisure centres, has been a sports partner of Our Future Health since 2024. This partnership represents a shared commitment to helping people live longer, healthier lives – both through physical activity with Everyone Active and contributing to health research via Our Future Health.
The first of the new mobile clinics will open at Haslemere Leisure Centre from 27 November to 22 December. With over 3,000 members and around 30,000 visits a month at this site, the Haslemere clinic will help to raise awareness of Our Future Health among the local community. The second clinic will open at Whitwick & Coalville Leisure Centre from 3-15 January 2026. Anyone can book their appointment to take part in the research programme at these clinics, including Everyone Active members.
Our Future Health aims to transform the prevention, detection and treatment of conditions such as dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, asthma and stroke. With up to five million volunteers right across the UK, the goal is to create one of the most detailed pictures ever of people’s health.
At their clinic appointment, as well as having a blood sample and some physical measurements taken, volunteers will be offered information about their own health, including their blood pressure. In the future, volunteers will also be given the option to receive feedback about their risk of some diseases and have the opportunity to take part in cutting-edge research studies.
Our Future Health aims to represent people from all different backgrounds, particularly people who have been underrepresented in health research in the past. This new clinic with Everyone Active will help Our Future Health reach local communities and ensure health research can both represent and benefit more people.
Dr Raghib Ali, CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Our Future Health, said, “We’re really pleased to have this opportunity to raise awareness of our programme among Everyone Active’s local community. These clinics are convenient for people to visit as part of their daily routine, so we hope this encourages more people to get involved in health research. Thank you to Everyone Active for hosting these clinics and demonstrating our shared commitment to helping people live longer, healthier lives.”
Jacqui Tillman, Everyone Active’s Aquatics and Wellbeing Director & Chief Executive of SLM Community Leisure Charitable Trust, said: “We are proud to continue our partnership with Our Future Health and their health research programme, which raises valuable awareness of the prevention, detection and treatment of multiple health conditions. Our leisure centres sit at the heart of local communities, and Haslemere Leisure Centre is a fantastic example of this. The new mobile clinic will welcome thousands of local volunteers during its opening period in November and December.”
