people are already taking part, to prevent disease together

You can make a difference

Many of us have experienced the devastating effects of cancer, diabetes, dementia and heart disease.

Having people of different ages, backgrounds and communities join the programme means we can get enough information about how diseases affect all people.

By taking part, you can help researchers prevent, detect and treat diseases.

Who can take part

You can take part in the research if you are:

  • over the age of 18
  • living in the UK

This includes anyone who has a medical condition, lives with a disability or uses a wheelchair.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create an account

Your account lets you manage your details and fill out the health and lifestyle questionnaire.

  2. 2

    Give consent

We want to make sure you are well-informed and happy to proceed. We'll ask you to read important information and provide consent.

  3. 3

    Take part in the research

    • Provide a blood sample and have some basic measurements taken at a local clinic.
    • Complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire.
  4. 4

    Researchers study the data

Your blood sample and information will be combined with data from other volunteers and stored securely. Researchers will apply to study the de-identified data to help make new discoveries about human health and diseases.

£10 voucher - to recognise your time and effort

You will be offered a £10 voucher after:

  • completing your questionnaire
  • attending your clinic appointment and agreeing to donate a blood sample

You can spend this voucher in places like supermarkets, high street shops and online retailers.

  • Your progress is always saved, so you do not have to do everything in one go.
  • After joining, you can leave the research programme at anytime, without providing a reason.

How to book an appointment near you

You can book, cancel or reschedule your appointment in your account.

When you log in, you can see all the appointments we have available across the country. We offer appointments seven days a week.

If you've recently received a letter from us in the post, it's likely that there's a clinic near you.

Many of our clinics are in Boots stores. We also have mobile clinics, which are often in supermarket carparks.

Accessing our clinics

All our clinics have step-free access. Contact us if you have any questions about accessing our clinics. If you're attending an appointment in a Boots store, you can also contact the store directly.

If you do not live near a clinic

If you do not live near a clinic at the moment, you can still join. You can make a difference wherever you live. Get started today by creating your account and filling out your health questionnaire. And we'll let you know when appointments become available near you.
